16:48 Do people seem stupider/crazier this summer or am I the only one seeing all this? #

A new squirrel-related commercial. (Or new to me.)

Damn. I can't find the embed thingy. Here's the link:

Happy birthday to David Tennant! (The current Dr. Who for those you don't know.)

ETA: OMG!!! Stephen Colbert is celebrating National Library Week! He must know he has a large librarian fan base. (And I'm not talking about the size of the librarians, I'm talking about the quantity.)
To do list:
1.) Article critique for Methods of Field Research
2.) Paper for Methods of Field Research (5 pages)
3.) Paper for International Politics (10-20 pages)
4.) Homework for Stats
5.) Christmas cards (You still have time to give me your address before this gets crossed out)
6.) Make room in the living room for a Christmas tree
7.) Library volunteer background check. (I love sneaky-peeky spying)

I think I have a busy week ahead of me.
Well, the book sale was awesome. I came home with much more than I had anticipated. There were so many kids books from my childhood there. I took them all of course. No kid today is going to read them. We are phasing out the vhs tapes  at the library so I snagged a few good ones including:

A Fish Called Wanda
A Nightmare Before Christmas
Good Luck (a really obscure D'Onofrio flick from '96)
X-Files (Eps.=Darkness Falls/The Erlenmeyer Flask)
Dave
Monty Python's The Meaning of Life
Due South
though I'm not sure which episode, I've never seen it, but I heard it was a good show.
A Fairy Tale Theater video, though I don't remember which tale.

I found a Ghostwriter book! I can't believe they even made books off that show. A Sudoko for kids book. I could actually solve most of those. They were with letters and shapes instead of numbers. A few "Dick and Jane"- type primers from the late '40s. A very cool find was a Geography textbook from 1917 that had a "Vote Dry" sticker on the inside cover (Prohibition), and a politically incorrect poem about Woodrow Wilson scrawled on the first page. Very nifty. I also found a Lone Ranger book from the '50s. E-bay here I come!

Edit: Pictures click the book sale sign that I, uh, edited
