Well, the book sale was awesome. I came home with much more than I had anticipated. There were so many kids books from my childhood there. I took them all of course. No kid today is going to read them. We are phasing out the vhs tapes at the library so I snagged a few good ones including:
A Fish Called WandaA Nightmare Before ChristmasGood Luck (a really obscure D'Onofrio flick from '96)
X-Files (Eps.=Darkness Falls/The Erlenmeyer Flask)
DaveMonty Python's The Meaning of Life
Due South though I'm not sure which episode, I've never seen it, but I heard it was a good show.
A Fairy Tale Theater video, though I don't remember which tale.
I found a
Ghostwriter book! I can't believe they even made books off that show. A Sudoko for kids book. I could actually solve most of those. They were with letters and shapes instead of numbers. A few "Dick and Jane"- type primers from the late '40s. A very cool find was a Geography textbook from 1917 that had a "Vote Dry" sticker on the inside cover (Prohibition), and a politically incorrect poem about Woodrow Wilson scrawled on the first page. Very nifty. I also found a Lone Ranger book from the '50s. E-bay here I come!
